Chairman Marley called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:03:06 PM.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT:                                  Commissioner Marley, Joplin, Magnuson, Weston and Nick; Councilmember Kaemingk.

ABSENT:                                    Commissioner Smith and Scott.

STAFF:                                       City Planner Gaudette.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Marley opened for consideration approval of the September 15, 2010 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Magnuson made a MOTION to approve the September 15, 2010 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Joplin SECONDED. Motion Carried. Commissioners Marley and Nick abstained.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Kaemingk discussed recent City Council activity.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

Chairman Marley opened for discussion the semi final draft of the Critical Area Ordinance. City Planner Gaudette gave an overview of the changes. Chairman Marley opened the Public Hearing at 7:31:33 PM.

Fred Stouder, City of Kenmore City Manager, 18120 68 Ave NE, Kenmore, asked the City to consider the drainage that flows into Kenmore when writing this Ordinance. He also would like to meet with Brier’s consultants to discuss the impact on Kenmore.

Debbie Bent, Community Development Director City of Kenmore, 18120 68 Ave NE, Kenmore, asked to become a party of record for the process of updating the Critical Area Ordinance.  She also submitted several preliminary comments from herself and a letter from the City of Kenmore Engineer, Ron Loewen, with concerns of how it will impact the City of Kenmore.

The Public Hearing was closed at 7:37:49 PM.  There was Commissioner discussion.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

City Planner Gaudette gave a brief overview of various projects going on throughout the City.

Commissioner Joplin made a MOTION to adjourn.  Commissioner Nick SECONDED. Motion carried. Chairman Marley declared the meeting adjourned at 8:12:42 PM.
