Chairman Marley called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:02:57 PM.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT:                                  Commissioner Marley, Joplin, Scott, Weston and Myers.

ABSENT:                                    Commissioner Smith and Magnuson.

STAFF:                                       City Planner Gaudette.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Marley opened for consideration approval of the July 20, 2011 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Joplin made a MOTION to approve the July 20, 2011 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Scott SECONDED. Motion Carried. Commissioner Weston abstained.

COMMITTEE REPORTS: None.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:

Peggy Dare 22320 Hickory Way, talked about storm water control and green spaces. She also asked for an update as to where the City was on repairing the City’s Detention Pond. Mrs. Dare also would like to see all Home Occupation Applications have a Public Hearing held before either the Planning Commission or City Council.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

Chairman Marley opened discussion on the draft changes to the Home Occupation Ordinance. City Planner Gaudette gave an overview of the proposed changes. There was Commissioner discussion.

Chairman Marley opened discussion on the draft changes to the Wireless Communication Facilities Ordinance. City Planner Gaudette presented two proposed variations of the Ordinance. There was Commissioner discussion.
