BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

February 27, 2013
7:00 PM

Chairman Pro-Tem Weston called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:20:19 PM.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT: Commissioner Scott, Weston, Carroll and Bowles; Councilmember Kaemingk.
ABSENT: Commissioner Marley, Myers and Kolden.
STAFF: City Planner Gaudette.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Pro-Tem Weston opened for consideration approval of the November 7, 2012 Planning Commission minutes. There was not a quorum to approve the November 7, 2012 Planning Commission minutes.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Kaemingk discussed recent City Council activity.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

Chairman Pro-Tem Weston opened for discussion of Conditional Use Permit CUP13-001 for Giorgio Gernsa and Elsa Embaye. City Planner Gaudette gave an overview of the permit; City Staff recommends approval with conditions. Chairman Pro-Tem Weston opened the Public Hearing at 7:31:54 PM. There was no one wishing to speak. The Public Hearing was closed at 7:32:18 PM. Commissioner Scott made a MOTION to recommend approval to the City Council for Conditional Use Permit #13-001, for a Secondary Dwelling Unit with conditions listed in the staff report. Commissioner Carroll SECONDED. Motion carried.

Chairman Pro-Tem Weston opened for consideration Preliminary approval of The Wynbrook II Plat #SUB12-001. City Planner Gaudette gave an overview of the plat. The Staff is recommending approval to City Council. Brian Calab with Insight Engineering stated that they have met all City Code requirements. Chairman Pro-Tem Weston opened the Public Hearing at 7:37:07 PM. M L Demorett from Brier, asked to have the Wynbrook II Resolution explained.

The Public Hearing was closed at 7:39:26 PM. Commissioner Bowles made a MOTION to recommend approval to the City Council of the proposed Preliminary Plat Wynbrook II according to the terms and conditions of the Wynbrook II Resolution. Commissioner Scott SECONDED. There was Commissioner discussion. Motion carried.

ADJOURNMENT:

Commissioner Scott made a MOTION to adjourn. Commissioner Carroll SECONDED. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:44:13 PM.
