Chairman Marley called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:00:34 PM.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT:                                  Commissioner Marley, Scott, Weston and Wirch; Councilmember Kaemingk.

ABSENT:                                    Commissioner Myers and Carroll.

STAFF:                                       City Planner Gaudette.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Marley opened for consideration approval of the October 16, 2013 Planning Commission minutes. Chairman Marley would like to see the Summary that was forwarded to the Council added to the minutes.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Kaemingk discussed recent City Council activity.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

Chairman Marley opened for consideration of Variance permit #V13-002 for Tie Kor Investment LLC. City Planner Gaudette gave an overview of the permit; City Staff recommends approval. Chairman Marley opened the Public Hearing at 7:12:57 PM.

Don Watson, Brier, shared his knowledge of this parcel.

Carl Brotherton, Brier, would like to have it clearly stated what exactly is being proposed. He feels that the lot line was designed the way it is for a reason and maybe it should stay that way. He was concerned about the type of home that will be built.

Anna Cowin, Brier, is concerned with the type of home that will be built.

The Public Hearing was closed at 7:30:25 PM.

Commissioner Weston made a MOTION to recommend approval of Variance #V13-002 to reduce the corner lot side yard setback from 15 feet to 10 feet. Commissioner Scott SECONDED. Motion carried.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

Chairman Marley opened for discussion of nominations for a Commissioner Chairman and Pro-Tem. Commissioner Scott made a MOTION to nominate Commissioner Marley to be Chairman.  Commissioner Weston SECONDED. Motion carried.

Commissioner Scott made a MOTION to nominate Commissioner Weston as Pro-Tem. Commissioner Marley SECONDED. Motion Carried.
