BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

December 17, 2014
7:00 PM

Chairman Pro-Tem Weston called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:05:06 PM.

 

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT:                                  Commissioner Carroll, DeMorett, Weston and Wirch.

ABSENT:                                    Commissioner Marley, Rosman and Scott.

STAFF:                                       City Planner Gaudette.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Pro-Tem Weston opened for consideration approval of the November 19, 2014 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Carroll made a MOTION to approve the November 19, 2014 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Wirch SECONDED.  Motion Carried.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS: None.

 

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.

 

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

Chairman Pro-Tem Weston opened for consideration updating Title 17.48 Parking in regards to commercial vehicles. City Planner Gaudette gave an overview of the updates.

The Public Hearing opened at 7:16:44 PM.

Gary Shull of Brier, stated he does not like the wording “licensed gross vehicle weight.” He would like to see the ordinance say “manufactured gross vehicle weight.”

The Public Hearing closed at 7:27:12 PM.

Commissioner DeMorett made a MOTION to recommend adoption of the draft Parking Ordinance to City Council, with the following changes:

Correct the typo on page one from 17.48.0A0 to 17.48.010, change the language of Section 1, line F1 to say, less than 19,501 pounds of the manufactured chassie gross vehicle weight.

 Commissioner Carroll SECONDED. Motion carried.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Chairman Pro-Tem Weston opened for review the Housing Element of the Comprehensive Plan. City Planner Gaudette gave a detailed list of all the updates. There was commissioner discussion.

 

 

 

ADJOURNMENT:

Commissioner Carroll made a MOTION to adjourn. Commissioner DeMorett SECONDED. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:52:02 PM.
