Chairman Weston called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:00:24 PM.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT:                                  Commissioner Carroll, DeMorett, Marley, Rosman, Scott, Weston and Wirch; Councilmember Kaemingk.

STAFF:                                       City Planner Gaudette, City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Weston opened for consideration approval of the March 18, 2015 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Carroll made a MOTION to approve the March 18, 2015 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner DeMorett SECONDED. Motion Carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Kaemingk discussed recent City Council activity.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

Chairman Weston opened for consideration review of the final draft of the Comprehensive Plan and Ordinance No. 424 for its adoption. City Planner Gaudette gave an overview of the updates to the Comprehensive Plan and introduced Ordinance No. 424.

The Public Hearing opened at 7:04:03 PM.

Commissioner DeMorett suggested that in the Land Use Element, page 4, to use figure 2 for the MUGA map.

Commissioner DeMorett suggested that in the Capital Facilities Element, to update Figure 1 to include the School District Boundaries.

Commissioner Scott asked to verify in the Housing Element, page 6, the number of Brier residents with a special need.

There was further Commissioner discussion.

The Public Hearing closed at 7:52:08 PM.

Commissioner Rosman made a MOTION to recommend adoption of the final draft Comprehensive Plan to include the changes and typos as discussed, excluding the Transportation Element and Ordinance No. 424 to City Council.  Commissioner DeMorett SECONDED. Motion carried.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

Commissioner DeMorett asked about the new park in Wynbrook II subdivision, who is responsible for maintaining the wooded area. City Planner Gaudette informed the Commission this is something the City Council is currently discussing.
