Chairman Weston called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:00:18 PM.

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT:                                  Commissioner DeMorett, Marley, Rosman, Scott, Weston, Thorpe and Jonart. Councilmember Gallagher.

STAFF:                                       City Planner Gaudette and Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Weston opened for consideration approval of the November 18, 2015 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner DeMorett made a MOTION to approve the November 18, 2015 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Marley SECONDED. Motion Carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS: None.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

Chair Weston opened the floor to City Planner Gaudette to give a brief overview of the Critical Areas Ordinance that we will be holding the public hearing on this evening.

Chair Weston opened the public hearing on the wetland definitions in chapter 18.20 at 7:06:52 PM. Chair Weston closed the public hearing at 7:07:43 PM.

Commissioner Marley made a MOTION to approve the wetland definitions as submitted by City Planner Gaudette. Commissioner Rosman SECONDED. Motion Carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

Commissioner Weston made a MOTION to appoint David Marley as the Chair for 2016. Commissioner Rosman SECONDED. Motion Carried. Commissioner Marley made a MOTION to appoint Bob Thorpe as Chair Pro-Tem for 2016. Commissioner Weston SECONDED. Motion Carried.

The Commission recessed at 7:16:43 PM for approximately one hour thirty minutes to watch the Open Public Meetings Act training videos.

The Commission returned at 8:53:11 PM.
