BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

June 15, 2016
7:00 PM

Chairman Marley called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:05:15 PM.

 

ROLL CALL:

PRESENT:                                  Commissioner DeMorett, Rosman, Weston, Thorpe and Jonart; Councilmember Gallagher.

ABSENT:                                    Commissioner Marley and Scott.

STAFF:                                       City Planner Gaudette.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Pro-Tem Thorpe opened for consideration approval of the March 16, 2016 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Rosman made a MOTION to approve the March 16, 2016 Planning Commission minutes. Commissioner Jonart SECONDED. Motion carried.

 

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Gallagher discussed recent City Council activity.

 

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.

 

NEW BUISNESS:

Chairman Pro-Tem Thorpe opened for review the Park Impact Fees. City Planner Gaudette gave an overview of the proposed code changes regarding the collection of park impact fees.

Commissioner Rosman suggested to look at 16.16.140.H.7 as being redundant to sections within 3.68. He also asked to clarify 3.68.100.A what the word encumber means.

Commissioner Weston suggested to remove 3.68.060.H.

 

Chairman Pro-Tem Thorpe opened for review sign code regulations. City Planner Gaudette gave an overview of the proposed Sign code change.

Commissioner Thorpe asked about 17.38.030 having multiple political signs in a persons yard, should it be limited. Will City banners advertising City events be allowed.

Commissioner DeMorett asked about permanent/temporary signs on vehicles.

 

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

Commissioner Thorpe asked if a secondary dwelling unit being built on Brier Rd is within the 30 foot height regulation.

Commissioner DeMorett made a MOTION to adjourn. Commissioner Jonart SECONDED. Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 8:25:28 PM.
