Chairman Marley called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:02 PM.

ROLL CALL:

Present:Commissioner Marley, Rosman, DeMorret, Jonart, Hanson and Councilmember Gallagher. Commissioner Weston arrived at 7:04 PM.

Absent: Commissioner Kolden.

Staff: City Planner Flathman and Engineer Forba.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chairman Marley opened for consideration approval of the March 20, 2019 Planning Commission minutes. Motion: Approve the March 20, 2019 Planning Commission minutes, Moved by Commissioner DeMorret, Seconded by Commissioner Rosman. Motion Carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Gallagher discussed recent City Council activity.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

Commissioner DeMorret announced that she lives within 300 feet of the project. Chairman Marley asked if anyone objects to Commissioner DeMorret's participation in the public hearing. There was no objection.

Chairman Marley opened the Public Hearing for the McCann Subdivision, No. SUB18-05, located at 22412 Brier Road at 7:05 PM.

City Planner Flathman gave an overview of the proposed subdivision.

Brian Caleb of Insight Engineering introduced himself as representing the applicant.

Stan Donald of Lynnwood, is in favor of this plat and would like to see this built.

Tim Munnis of Brier, had questions about the wetland setbacks and tree removal.

John Forsberg of Brier, would like to see Evergreen trees planted.

Commissioner Hanson asked if an arborist report was completed to save any trees. He would like to see more trees remain on site.

Commissioner Rosman had concerns about the calculation of square footage and that it is not correctly calculated.

Commissioner Weston had questions about sight triangles and when they get checked.

Commissioner DeMorret asked exactly how big is the wetland area.

The Public Hearing was closed at 7:36 PM.

Motion: Recommend Preliminary Plat Approval to City Council, for the McCann subdivision No. SUB18-02, located at 22412 Brier Road, Moved by Commissioner Weston, Seconded by Commissioner DeMorret. Motion Carried.
