Further check found the suspect(s) had removed a battery from the victim's boat and attempted to use it to start the vehicle. No suspect(s) at this time. Notice sent to registered owner. TRAFFIC / POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA. 3500 block of 228 St SW. 36 year of age white female from Mercer Island driving a 1994 Nissan Sentra was stopped for defective windshield, expired vehicle license and suspended license. Search of vehicle located drug paraphernalia. Subject was cited for Driving While License Suspended and Possession of Paraphernalia and released. Vehicle released to third party. MARCH 27, 2007 ELUDING. 20400 block of Poplar Way. Officer attempted traffic stop on a 1994 Honda Accord for failure to transfer title. When officer approached the vehicle to contact the driver, the driver accelerated and fled the scene. Officers pursued the vehicle which was located unoccupied. K9 tracked to a nearby residence however the driver was not apprehended. BURGLARY / ASSAULT. 3300 block of 232 St SW. 54 year of age white male from Brier reports upon his arrival home he found subjects in his residence removing items. The victim physically assaulted one of the suspects and they fled on foot. Investigation found the parties were assisting an ex-girlfriend of the victim's in removing her belongings. VEHICLE PROWL. 22900 block of 35 Av W. 48 year of age white female from Marysville reports she observed a male subject in her 2002 Saturn using a screwdriver on the ignition in attempt to start it. She ran into the residence and phoned 911. Upon her return to the vehicle the suspect was gone. Possibly linked with previous burglary report. Pending investigation. The male left the area on foot. The victim later discovered the ignition to his 1999 Dodge Intrepid had been tampered with. MARCH 29, 2007 SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. 3600 block of 232 St SW. 11 year of age white male from Mountlake Terrace reports a white male subject, approximately 30 years of age, exited his van and approached him. The child ran to the school and the subject returned to his van and left. The child reported seeing the same van at his residence approximately a month previously. Pending investigation. MARCH 25, 2007 POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY / FRAUD / IDENTITY THEFT / TRAFFIC. 23400 block of 29 Av W. 26 year of age white male from Brier driving a 1995 Lexus was stopped as he is known to have a suspended license. The subject exited the vehicle and attempted to enter a residence initially ignoring officer's commands to stop. Subject was then placed into custody. Further check of vehicle located a 27 year of age white female passenger from Lynnwood in the rear seat attempting to hide. Search of passenger located stolen checks. Search of vehicle located credit cards and financial statements not belonging to the suspects. Further investigation found the passenger had attempted to pass one of the stolen checks at a local grocery then stole a vehicle from the parking lot. Both suspects were booked into jail. MARCH 4, 2007 MALICIOUS MISCHIEF / TAKING VEHICLE WITHOUT PERMISSION / DISCHARGING A WEAPON. 22000 block of Oak Way. 42 year of age white male from Brier reports unknown person(s) drove by his residence and shot a ball bearing through a residence window. The victim's 20 year of age son got into his vehicle and followed the suspects until they were stopped by officers. The 16 year of age suspect driver along with two teenage passengers were contacted. The driver admitted to taking his mother's vehicle without permission. All suspects admitted to shooting at residences using slingshots and ball bearings. All suspects were released to their parents pending filing of charges. Further investigation found the suspects had caused damage to numerous residences in the area. They exited the vehicle and attempted to open his locked front door. The victim turned on the outside light and the two subjects returned to their vehicle.
