One of the suspects approached her with a knife and requested she open the cash register which she did. The suspects fled the scene with approximately $200 cash along with cigarettes and food products. K-9 tracked with negative results. No injuries incurred. Pending investigation. The resident became angry when he could not repair the tire due to inadequate equipment and took an invoice from him. The neighbor was contacted and requested the hoop be removed from the front of his residence. The owner complied. AGENCY ASSIST. 3700 block of 228 St SW. Assisted aid with an intoxicated 45 year of age white female from Mountlake Terrace who was threatening to kill her husband. She was transported to the hospital for evaluation. MALICIOUS MISCHIEF. 23200 block 39 Av W. 53 year of age white male from Brier reports unknown person(s) attempted to cut the exhaust pipe near the catalytic converter on his 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. He is uncertain as to when or where this occurred. INFORMATION. 21600 block Brier Rd. Dispatch to vehicle blocking the roadway. 63 year of age black female from Brier driving a 2008 Jaguar stated she had been driving along, then felt a bump and her car shut off and would not start. Investigation found her oil pan had hit a water meter cover in the roadway that was protruding from the hole about two inches. Fire department responded to scene to clean up the oil leak. Vehicle towed from scene. FEBRUARY 20, 2008 FOUND PROPERTY. 3600 block of 227 St SW. 26 year of age white male from Brier reports he found some brass knuckles in his backyard that do not belong to him. Item taken for destruction. VEHICLE PROWL / ID THEFT. 3100 block 236 St SW. 45 year of age white female from Brier reports that sometime between 02-13-08 and 02-15-08 her 2005 Honda Passport had been prowled and items taken, including her purse which contained her checkbook. Five checks had been fraudulently cashed totaling $4,800.00, and approximately $100.00 charged on her credit and debit cards. Investigation pending. She looked out the window and saw a white male running from her residence. Upon opening her door, she found that a sled had been knocked over, a statue to the right of her door was out of place, and there was writing on the wall to the left of the door that contained profanity and threats. Suspect unknown. Credit check found no fraudulent activity. Information only at this time. MISSING PERSON LOCATE. 3300 block of 226 Pl SW. Dispatched to assist Lake Forest Park Police Department with a 911 hang up call in which the caller was whispering for help. The phone number was traced to a Brier address and found to belong to a 23 year of age white male from Brier. Investigation found the subject had attended a party in Mountlake Terrace the evening prior. Further investigation found he had been transported by aid to the hospital and held due to alcohol level. He did not know where he was and was using his cell phone to call out. TRAFFIC. 228th St SW and 228 Pl SW. 50 year of age Hispanic male from Kenmore driving a 1977 Chevrolet pickup was stopped as computer check on vehicle license plate showed the registered owner's driving status suspended. The driver was identified as the registered owner, cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and released. The vehicle was left legally parked at the scene. He then noticed the vehicle moving unoccupied down the roadway. The vehicle struck a street sign then mail lockboxes where it came to rest. No injuries reported. He then recognized the object to be an egg which was taped to fishing line across the roadway. His vehicle did not strike the egg. Area checked for suspect(s) with negative results. One subject was located by Kenmore Police Officers and positively identified by the witness as one of the subjects running from the vehicle. Pending further investigation. School Official reports unknown person(s) broke six ceiling tiles causing approximately $2,000 damage. FRAUD. 3400 block of 232 St SW. 36 year of age white female from Brier reports a subject contacted her regarding purchasing items she is selling on Craigslist. The subject sent her a check drawn on a company account. She deposited the check which returned counterfeit. She did not release any of the items to the suspect. The banking company is investigating. He chased the subject and phoned 911. Officer located the fleeing 17 year of age white who was placed under arrest without further incident. Search of the area for the second suspect proved negative. Pending investigation. FEBRUARY 10, 2008 DISTURBANCE. 3400 block of 227 St SW. Received report of loud party. Upon arriving at door of residence, the odor on marijana and intoxicants was detected. Investigation found 17 yoa Asian female from Brier having a party while her parents were out of town. Several juveniles fled the scene; others released to parents. Referred to Juvenile Prosecutor.
