She did not wish to pursue charges. APRIL 29, 2008 ATTEMPTED BURGLARY. 22000 block of 36 Av W. 44 year of age white male from Brier reports unknown person(s) pried a window screen from his residence in attempt to gain entry. TRAFFIC. 23600 block of 39 Av W. 29 year of age black male from Kenmore driving a 1992 Jeep Cherokee was stopped for driving through a barricade. Computer check showed his driving status suspended. He was cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and released. The vehicle was left legally parked at the scene. APRIL 30, 2008 POSSIBLE ATTEMPTED RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY. 23000 block of 35 Av W. 54 year of age white female from Brier reports she observed a white male subject in a red Taurus sitting in her driveway. She confronted the subject who stated he was waiting for his parents to look at the residence which is for sale. She phoned 911 and upon officer arrival the subject fled the scene. Officer located the suspect vehicle which was now unoccupied, locked and alarmed. The vehicle was impounded pending further investigation. SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. 2400 block of Nike Manor Road. 21 year of age Hispanic male from Brier reports upon arrival home he found his front door ajar. Residence checked and nothing found missing or damaged. MAY 1, 2008 WARRANT SERVICE. 2500 block 236 St SW. 33 year of age transient white male stopped for committing bicycle infraction and was found to have a warrant out of Clark County. Search incident to arrest located a toy cap pistol. He was transported and booked into jail. Citizen reports via department voice mail, upon his arrival home from vacation he noticed the backdoor screen to his residence was lying on the ground and believes someone may have attempted to burglarize his home. While investigating an unrelated incident in Brier, an Edmonds Police Officer observed a subject inside a vehicle who then fled from the scene. Area checked for suspect with negative results. Two victims in the area were found to have had their unlocked vehicles entered, however, nothing was missing and no damage reported. WARRANT ARREST. 3200 block of 228 St SW. 17 year of age black male from Mountlake Terrace was observed walking in the early morning hours. He was contacted regarding recent vehicle prowls in the area. The subject initially gave false identifying information. Further investigation found he possessed an outstanding warrant. Search of his person located suspected marijuana. He was booked into jail without further incident. TRAFFIC. 5000 block of 236 St SW. 23 year of age white male from Mountlake Terrace driving a 1998 Honda CR9 Motorcycle was stopped for pulling wheelies in the roadway and expired vehicle license. He was cited for Reckless Driving, No Motorcycle Endorsement and Expired Vehicle License and released. TRAFFIC COLLISION. 22800 block of Locust Way. 24 year of age white male from Brier driving a 1990 Nissan Stanza was struck by an unknown vehicle which fled the scene. Investigation found the suspect vehicle may possibly be a 2002 Mercury Sable. Area was checked with negative results. Minor injuries suffered. DUI. 3500 block of 239 St SW. 31 year of age white female from Brier driving a 1985 Chevrolet S10 pickup was stopped for erratic driving. Investigation found her to be under the influence of alcohol and/or narcotics. She was cited for Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicants and/or Drugs and released to a third party. APRIL 27, 2008 TRAFFIC COLLISION. 21400 block of Poplar Way. 57 year of age white male from Snohomish driving a 1997 Honda Odyssey backed into a 30 year of age pedestrian from Seattle pinning her between his vehicle and a 1998 Dodge Caravan which she had been loading items into. She complained of stomach and chest pain and was transported by aid to hospital. Further investigation resulted in the issuance of a citation to the driver of the Mazda for Driving While Under the Influence of Intoxicants and Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree. All parties suffered minor injuries. Both vehicles were removed from the scene by tow. APRIL 18, 2008 HARASSMENT. 2500 block of 228 St SW. 19 year of age white female from Everett reports while parked at Brier Park a subject driving a Mazda pickup pulled up to her vehicle and began photographing it. When confronted he stated he was taking the pictures because it was a nice car. She reports she has seen the same subject in his vehicle in the area on previous occasions. HUMANE. 3100 block of 238 St SW. 81 year of age white male from Brier reports he observed a brown bear walk through his backyard. Area was check with negative results. Department of Fish and Game notified. ASSAULT. 23900 block of Brier Road. 18 year of age white female from Bothell reports she was assaulted by a 23 year of age white female from Brier. Both parties were contacted and neither wished to pursue the matter further. APRIL 19, 2008 WARRANT ARREST / POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA / POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA. 22800 block of Brier Road. 22 year of age white male from Lynnwood driving a 1994 Buick Regal was stopped for erratic driving. Odor of marijuana was detected. Computer check on the 26 year of age passenger from Edmonds revealed an outstanding warrant. Search of the passenger located suspected marijuana and paraphernalia. He was booked into jail. The driver was released without charges. APRIL 21, 2008 AGENCY ASSIST. 23000 block of Cedar Way. Assisted Mountlake Terrace Police in locating a person reported to be stumbling in and out of the roadway. APRIL 15, 2008 MALICIOUS MISCHIEF / INFORMATION. 21300 block 39 Pl W. 32 year of age Asian male from Brier reports having problems in the past year with juveniles loitering in the area who throw beer and soda cans as well as cigarette butts in his yard. His fence has also been vandalized and his house egged. APRIL 16, 2008 TRAFFIC. 3500 block 228 St SW. 18 year of age white male from Brier driving a 1983 Volkswagon Rabbit was stopped as computer check showed his driving status suspended. He was cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and released without incident. Vehicle left legally parked off the roadway. SUSPICIOUS PERSON. 21700 block 21 Ave W. 42 year of age white male from Brier reports he was walking with his wife and daughter on pedestrian bridge over a creek when a male contacted his daughter and asked for a toll to cross the bridge. When he intervened, the male became verbally abusive. Suspect male identified and contacted at his residence. He was found to be intoxicated. Settled by contact. She believes she forgot to lock the doors. Nothing missing from vehicle. Fingerprints unable to be located. Old Poplar / Brier Rd. 23 year of age Asian male from Mountlake Terrace driving a Toyota Scion stopped for no front plate. Further investigation revealed his driving status suspended. TRAFFIC. 2500 block Elm Dr. 51 year of age white male driving a Oldsmobile Achieva was stopped as check of vehicle found the registration expired, however, vehicle displayed current tab. Investigation revealed the tab displayed did not belong on the vehicle. Tab confiscated. Driver identified with Arizona driver's license. Computer check revealed he had a felony warrant out of Alabama. He was transported to jail and booked for Fugitive From Justice In Another State. TRAFFIC / SUICIDAL SUBJECT. 2500 block 228 St SW. 34 year of age male from Brier stopped for speeding. He slammed on his brakes, causing his vehicle to skid to a stop. He immediately jumped out of the vehicle and approached Officer in an aggressive manner. He disobeyed orders to get back in the car and shouted obsenities. He stated he needed to get to the hospital as he was suicidal. He resisted attempts to subdue him and was physically combative. Once in custody, he was transported to the hospital for evaluation. Pending charge of Assault 3rd Degree. Dog owners contacted and informed of ordinance requirements. FOUND CHILD. 3700 block of 228 Pl SW. 70 year of age white male from Brier came into the police station accompanied by a 12 year of age child whom he stated had entered his home and began jumping on his furniture. Investigation found the child had left the school playground area without teacher knowledge. He was released to school officials. INFORMATION. 2000 block of 204 St SW. Officer contacted 18 year of age and 27 year of age Hispanic males from Lynnwood whom he observed to be installing rear taillights in a 2000 Chevrolet pickup. They denied any knowledge of the recent thefts of taillights from trucks in the area. HUMANE. 2400 block of Nike Manor Road. Citizen reports a cat in the area had been abandoned by previous tenants. Some neighborhood walkers stated they had seen the dog with some teenagers at the end of the roadway. Search of area proved negative. Signs were posted and local shelters contacted. Investigation found a window had been broken out and the interior walls and cabinets damaged. Investigation found the vehicle had been repossessed from the previous owner then re-sold to the occupants. The reporting police department had not been notified of the repossession. Suspect(s) then took the victim's 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee which was parked in the garage and fled the scene. The vehicle was later located by Snohomish County Sheriff's Office.
