MISSING PERSON. 23100 block of 32 Ave W. 36 year of age white female from Brier reports her 18 year of age son missing. He was later locate and found to be okay.
THEFT. 22700 block of Old Poplar Way. City employee reports unknown person(s) took a mole trap from the park which belonged to the city.
TRAFFIC. 21500 block of Poplar Way. 18 year of age white female from Brier driving a 1984 Lexus LS4 was stopped for defective equipment. Computer check on her driving status showed it suspended. She was cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and released. The vehicle was left parked at the scene - Impound Waiver signed.

HUMANE. 3600 block of 232 St SW. 52 year of age school official from Brier reports coyote sightings at the elementary school. Officer responded and observed a mature coyote with a pup. The animals exited school property into near by wooded area. Referred to Department of Fish and Wildlife.

TRAFFIC. 23000 block of 29 Av W. 26 year of age white male from Auburn driving a 1994 Nissan Sentra was stopped for wrong license plates on vehicle. Computer check of his driving status showed it suspended. He was cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree, given verbal warning for the license plate, and released. Vehicle left secured at scene.
TRAFFIC. 22800 block of Brier Rd. 28 year of age white male from Lynnwood driving a 1988 Volkswagon GTI was stopped as computer check showed the registered owner to have a suspended license. He was identified as the registered owner, cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree, and released. Vehicle left legally parked at scene - Impound Waiver signed.
TRAFFIC. 22800 block of Brier Rd. 20 year of age white female from Woodinville driving a 1989 Jeep Cherokee stopped for expired tabs. Computer check of her driving status showed it suspended. She was cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and Expired Tabs and released. Vehicle left secured at scene - Impound Waiver signed.
EXTORTION. 21800 block of Poplar Way. 74 year of age white male from Brier reports he received a phone
call from an unknown male, who somehow got possession of his son's cell phone, and offered to return the phone in exchange for $40.00. The offer was refused. He then offered to return it in exchange for a few beers. That offer was also refused. Phone was later dropped off at a business in Federal Way, who will hold the phone until it can be picked up.
RUNAWAY. 22200 block of Brier Rd. 16 year of age male contacted on the grounds of the middle school, and found to be a runaway. He was transported to his residence and released to his mother.
DISTURBANCE. 23000 block of 29 Av W. 46 year of age white male from Brier reports an unknown male shouted profanities at him as he was standing at his residence door. Suspect, 20 year of age white male from Mountlake Terrace, was contacted and indicated he had mistaken the man for someone else.

TRAFFIC. 22800 block of Brier Rd. 25 year of age Asian female from Marysville driving a 2000 Volkswagon Passat stopped as computer check showed the registered owner to have a suspended license. She was cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and released. Vehicle released to third party.
FRAUD. 2300 block of 225 Pl SW. 35 year of age white female from El Dorado Hills, CA reports she received email correspondence in August of 2008 from a company to advertise in a type of phone book for businesses specific to hers. She mailed a check for $500 to have her business listed, as well as a check for $100 to attend a convention. Book has never been published, and she received an email stating the convention was cancelled. She has been trying unsuccessfully to get reimbursed. Phone number for business comes back to a residence in Brier; however, owners of business do not reside there. Case under further investigation.

TRAFFIC. RUSSET RD / BRIER RD. 20 year of age white male from Mountlake Terrace driving a 1993 Chevy Geo Prism stopped for expired tabs and unresolved report of sale. Investigation revealed his driving status suspended, as well as an outstanding warrant. He was cited for Driving While License Suspended 2nd Degree, Failure to Transfer Title and Expired Tabs. He was then booked into jail. Vehicle left parked at scene - Impound Waiver signed.
TRAFFIC. 22800 block of 34 Ave W. 36 year of age white male from Brier driving a 1990 Honda Accord stopped as check of license plate revealed an outstanding report of sale. Driver identified as the buyer, cited for Failure to Transfer Title Within 45 Days, and released.

MISSING PERSON. 2300 block of 229 Pl SW. 83 year of age white male from Brier reports his 55 year of age son missing since the previous evening. He was later located at a hospital in Everett. He was removed from the missing person database.

TRAFFIC. 2100 block of Vine Rd. 36 year of age white female from Kenmore driving a 2008 Hyundai Sonata stopped for speeding, and subsequently found to have a suspended driving status. She was cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and Speeding and released. Vehicle released to third party.
MINOR IN POSSESSION. 22800 block of Brier Rd. 17 year of age Indian male from Brier observed walking westbound on 228 St SW drinking a 24 oz can of beer, which he discarded on the side of the road upon contact. He appeared heavily intoxicated. He was transported to his residence and released to his mother. Case referred to Juvenile Prosecutor's Office.

ASSAULT. 23200 block of Brier Road. 32 year of age white male from Brier and 27 year of age white male from Brier engaged in physical dispute. Neither party wished to pursue charges. Settled by Contact.

DUI. 22400 block of Brier Road. 32 year of age white male from Brier driving a 1999 Acura was stopped for speeding. Odor of intoxicants detected. Further investigation resulted in arrest and issuance of citation for Driving While Under the Influence of Alcohol. He was then transported to his residence and released. Subject signed a Vehicle Impound Waiver and the vehicle was left parked at the scene.
MISSING PERSON. 22200 block of Brier Road. School principal reports 11 year of age white male student from Lynnwood skipping school. The school later advised he had been located.
TRAFFIC. 3000 block of 228 St SW. 48 year of age white male from Mountlake Terrace driving a 1999 Mercury Sable was stopped for Expired Vehicle License. Computer check on his driving status showed it suspended. He was cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and released. The vehicle was released to the registered owner.

TRAFFIC / WARRANT. Poplar Way at Old Poplar Way. 47 year of age white female from Seattle was stopped as computer check on vehicle license plate showed the registered owner to have an outstanding warrant. She was identified as the registered owner, however, possessed documentation showing she had appeared for court. She was released without further incident.
WARRANT ARREST. 3200 block of 236 St SW. Officer contacted a 41 year of age white male from Brier who was known to possess an outstanding felony warrant. He was arrested for the warrant and booked into jail without incident.
MALICIOUS MISCHIEF. 22200 block of Brier Road. 67 year of age white female from Brier reports unknown person(s) scratched her 2001 Chevrolet Malibu with an unknown object causing extensive damage.
FORGERY / THEFT. 2600 block of 214 Pl SW. 53 year of age white female from Brier reports her 21 year of age son took checks belonging to her mother then forged the signature and cashed them.

TRAFFIC / DRUG VIOLATION. Vine Road at Oak Way. 24 year of age white male from Edmonds driving a 1996 Volkswagen Jetta was stopped for Expired Vehicle License. Odor of marijuana detected and suspected marijuana located. He was released at the scene pending issuance of Summons for Possession of Marijuana.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. 4100 block of 236 St SW. Officer observed a 37 year of age white male from Mountlake Terrace trip and fall possibly causing injury. The subject declined aid and was released.
HUMANE. 22700 block of 32 Ave W. 54 year of age white female from Brier reports her dog was attacked by two German Shepherd type dogs while she was walking it on leash. Her dog suffered minor injuries. Pending further investigation.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY. 21500 block of 32 Pl W. 51 year of age Asian male from Brier reports he was sleeping in his residence and was woke by some noise and his dogs barking. When he went to check his premises he found an unknown black teenage male inside. He chased the subject out of the residence and down the street then lost sight of him. Area was searched with negative results. The suspect had gained entry by prying the rear doors. Nothing appeared to missing. Pending investigation.

TRAFFIC. 2100 block of Vine Road. 56 year of age white male from Edmonds driving a 1996 Ford Explorer was stopped for speeding. Computer check on his driving status showed it to be suspended. He was cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and Speeding and released. Vehicle Impound Waiver signed.
MISSING PERSON. 3000 block of 34 Ave W. 54 year of age white male from Brier reports his 20 year of age white male friend from Bellingham missing for the past 3 hours. Incident settled by contact.

VEHICLE PROWL / THEFT. 21600 block of 21 Ave W. 59 year of age white male from Brier reports unknown person(s) entered his 2002 Jeep Liberty by smashing out the front passenger side window and took his gym bag. His 21 year of age white male neighbor also had his vehicle entered through unlocked door and radio knob and Ipod stolen.
TRAFFIC COLLISION. 3800 block of 232 Pl SW. 16 year of age white female from Mountlake Terrace driving a 1998 Dodge Neon backed from a private drive into a 2007 Ford Focus driven by a 19 year of age white male from Mountlake Terrace causing damage. No injuries reported.

Computer check on his driving status revealed it suspended. He was cited for Driving While License Suspended 3rd Degree and released. The vehicle was released to a licensed passenger.
SOLICITING. 23600 block of 29 Ave W. Officer contacted two 19 year of age white male subjects who were selling products door to door. Both were identified, advised of Solicitor License requirement within the City and released.
SUSPICIOUS PERSONS. 2800 block of 228 St SW. Officer contacted two white male adult subjects who were in a city park after hours. Both were identified and released.

TRAFFIC / NARCOTICS VIOLATION. 31 year of age white male from Bothell driving a 1991 Buick Avenger was stopped for Expired Vehicle License. Computer check on his driving status showed it to be expired. Odor of marijuana was detected and the driver surrendered suspected marijuana and paraphernalia. He was cited for Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Expired Driver's License, No Valid Operator's License and No Insurance and released. The vehicle was left parked at the scene.
IDENTITY THEFT. 23600 block of 37 Pl W. 47 year of age white female from Brier reports unknown person(s) somehow obtained her credit card account information and conducted purchases in Canada.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. 23700 block of Brier Road. 55 year of age white male from Brier reports the tires on his 1977 Pontiac Firebird were flat. He believed someone had either let the air out or slashed the tires. Further investigation found the vehicle had been sitting for sometime and the tires were just low on air.

VEHICLE PROWL / THEFT. 24000 block of 34 Pl W. 21 year of age black female from Brier reports unknown person(s) entered her 2005 Chevrolet Aveo by smashing the passenger side window and removed her purse, make up products and gift cards valued at approximately $600.
HUMANE. 23800 block of 29 Ave W. 55 year of age white female from Brier reports her neighbor's dogs attacked her dog causing major injuries. Pending investigation.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. 21700 block of Poplar Way. Passerby reports juveniles assaulting a subject on the ground. Upon police arrival two white male juvenile subjects were located, one 17 years of age and one 14 years of age. Investigation found no assault had occurred, however, the subjects were found to be transient. Both were taken into protective custody and released to Child Protective Services.
