Business Licenses
Effective December 17, 2020, the City of Brier will transition our business licensing services over to the WA State Department of Revenue Business License Service (BLS).
Our partnership with BLS will allow new and renewing businesses to apply for their City of Brier business license online along with connecting state and local agencies that partner with BLS. It's as simple as accessing www.bls.dor.wa.gov and creating or signing into your Secure Access Washington (SAW) account and follow the prompts. We are hoping this change will stream-line the process for you and your business.

General Information:
Home Occupation Business License
New annual license: $150.00, refer to Home Occupation General Business License Information and Criteria.
Annual license renewal: $100.00.
This business license would include a business based from a home or residence located inside the City limits of Brier.
For a new Home Occupation Business License, be sure to review and complete the Home Occupation License criteria prior to submitting the application through www.bls.dor.wa.gov. If you have any questions regarding the Home Occupation criteria or process, please contact City of Brier.
Neighborhood / General Business License
New annual license: $250.00
Annual license renewal: $150.00
This business license would include a business based inside the City limits of Brier, but not located in a home or residence.
Non-Residential / General Business License
New annual license: $100.00. License expires 1 year from date of issuance.
Annual license renewal: $100.00. License expires 1 year from date of issuance.
This business license would include a business based outside the City limits of Brier but not peddlers.
Peddlers License
Six Month License fee: $75.00 per person
Each peddler's license shall specify articles, services or items to be peddled, and the time during which such items will be peddled. This license can only be obtained at City Hall in Brier.
