Commission Chairman Szalda called the meeting to order at 7:00:46 PM.

ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioners Szalda, Nixdorf and Zenk.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Commissioner Nixdorf moved and Commissioner Szalda seconded to approve the minutes of February 19, 2008. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

A.                  None

OLD BUSINESS

A.                 APPROVE AMENDMENT TO 8.1.1 REQUIRING CANDIDATES OBTAIN 70% MINIMUM SCORE ON ANY REQUIRED EXAMINATION

Commissioner Szalda opened for discussion approval of amendment language to Section 8.1.1 requiring candidates obtain a 70% minimum score on any required examination to continue in the application process. All Commissioners agreed no further discussion required.

Commissioner Nixdorf moved and Commissioner Zenk seconded to adopt the amended section 8.1.1 requiring all candidates to obtain a minimum score of 70% on any required examination. Motion carried.

B.                 APPROVE AMENDMENT TO SECTION 3.1.2 REGARDING SCHEDULED MEETING TIME

Commissioner Szalda opened for discussion approval of amendment to section 3.1.2 regarding the scheduled meeting time change. All Commissioners agreed no further discussion required.

Commissioner Nixdorf moved and Commissioner Zenk seconded to accept the amended section 3.1.2 removing the time of the meetings. Motion carried.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

A.                 CANDIDATES REMOVED FROM ELIGIBIILTY LISTS

Commissioner Szalda opened for discussion candidates removed from the Eligibility Lists. Secretary Halverson reported Richard C. Fajardo has been removed from the Entry Level Eligibility List at his request and Kevin Kilpatrick, Lateral Eligible, has been hired by Brier Police Department. The Lateral Eligibility List is now exhausted.

B.                 ACADEMY GRADUATE ORAL BOARDS

Commissioner Szalda opened for discussion Academy Graduate Oral Board testing. Secretary Halverson reported the oral board exam is scheduled for March 12, 2008 and there are three applicants scheduled. Secretary Halverson will contact the Commissioners to schedule a Special Meeting to approve the Academy Graduate List upon completion of the oral board examinations.
