Commission Chairman  Szalda called the meeting to order at  4:06:06 PM.

ROLL CALL: Present: Commissioners Szalda and Zenk.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MARCH 4, 2009 REGULAR MEETING: Commissioner Zenk moved and Commissioner Szalda seconded to approve the minutes of March 4, 2009. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

A.            CERTIFICATION OF LATERAL POLICE OFFICER ELIGIBILITY LIST

Commissioner Szalda opened for discussion the certification of Lateral  Police      

Officer Eligibility List. Chief provided background and qualification

 information.

Commissioner Zenk moved and Commissioner Szalda seconded to certify the new Lateral Police Officer Eligibility List. Motion carried.

OLD BUSINESS

1.      None.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

A.            Chief Lane advised Officer Kilpatrick fell the first of November and suffered a severe break to his leg. Chief gave update on his current condition and rehabilitation.

B.            Chief Lane advised the Commission he will be out on sick leave for approximately 3 weeks.

C.            Commissioner Szalda expressed appreciation for receipt of police beat.

D.            Commissioer Zenk inquired on budget. Chief Lane advised it is positive.

E.            Chief reported on purchase of the Equinox.

ADJOURNMENT: Commissioner Szalda moved and Commissioner Zenk seconded to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Szalda declared the meeting adjourned at 4:15:37 PM.
