Commissioner Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM.

Present: Commissioner Peterson, Commissioner Leonard, Commissioner Williamson.

Appointment of a Chairperson for the commission. Motion: Commissioner Peterson was nominated for Chair, Moved by Commissioner Peterson, Seconded by Commissioner Williamson. Motion Carried.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Consideration of the Civil Service Commission minutes of November 17, 2020. Motion: Approve Brier Civil Service Commission minutes of November 17, 2020, Moved by Commissioner Leonard, Seconded by Commissioner Williamson. Motion Carried.

NEW BUSINESS:

The commission was made up of primarily new members and they took time to introduce themselves and give a brief bio of themselves.

Consideration of the Lateral Certification List. Motion: Approve the Lateral and Post- Police Academy Graduate list, Moved by Commissioner Leonard, Seconded by Commissioner Williamson. Motion Carried.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

Chairperson Peterson asked about the salaries for police officers and the recruitment for the chief. Commissioner Williamson had a few additional questions about the process.
