Commissioner Peterson called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Commissioners Peterson and Williamson.

Absent: Commissioner Leonard.

Staff: Civil Service Secretary Snowden

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Commissioner Peterson opened for consideration for approval of the Civil Service Commission minutes of November 2, 2022. Motion: Approve the Civil Service Commission minutes of November 2. 2022, Moved by Commissioner Williamson, Seconded by Commissioner Peterson. Motion Carried.

OLD BUSINESS:

Commissioner Peterson asked about the status of the mission statement. Commissioner Williamson mentioned that it was forwarded to former Chief Almquist for review. Commissioner Peterson will reach out to interim Chief Hawley.

NEW BUSINESS:

Commissioner Peterson opened for consideration for approval of the Lateral Certification List. Motion: Approve the Lateral Certification list as written, Moved by Commissioner Williamson, Seconded by Commissioner Peterson. Motion Carried.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

Commissioner Peterson and Commissioner Williamson participated in the Civil Service conference via Zoom presented by Foster Garvey Law Firm October 24-26. Commissioner Peterson has questions for the interuim Chief regarding information presented. Commissioner discussion regarding the information presented at the conference. Commissioner Peterson will send Interim Chief Hawley a list of questions.

Commissioner Williamson asked if the commission could have background information on each applicant so they know who they are certifying. He would also like to see the Oral Board questions.
