SEA CUCUMBER FORECASTS
GOOD WEATHER FOR SeaScare!

June 8, 2007: Brier's mayor, Bob Colinas, officially declared today as "Sea Cucumber Day" for the City of Brier. "As you all know, today is the day Carmichael the Sea Cucumber comes out to see whether or not he sees his shadow. In this way, year after year, Carmichael the Sea Cucumber has correctly predicted the weather for SeaScare. This year SeaScare will be on Wednesday, August 8th, exactly 8 weeks from today. I hope all of you will join in our fun community event by being in our SeaScare Parade" the mayor said at Brier Elementary School's assembly this morning."

"O yea , O yea, Oh yea! Let it be known throughout out all the land of Brier that Carmichael The Great Sea Cucumber, the prognosticator of climates, the slimy see-er from the sea, the spiny speculator of the weather, on this day June 8th of the year 2007 at 9:43 AM did see his shadow. Carmichael has foretold good weather for SeaScare! We'll see you all there!" , Mayor Colinas stated.

Meanwhile down at Brier Bay

Everyone Sing Along - Here are the words to the song:

"Carmichael, the Sea Cucumber" (Traditional song)

Carmichael, Carmichael,
Carmichael, the Sea Cucumber,
Wake ye from your slimy slumber now!

Slippy, drippy, slithery ray,
Carmichael, come out to play.
It's Sea Cucumber day today!

Up from the bottom of the ocean,
Set yourself in locomotion.
Swim on up to Brier, hurray!

Carmichael, oh Carmichael,
Forecast the weather cycle,
Eight more weeks

And SeaScare's on its way!
