BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
June 17, 2020
7:00 PM
Chairman Marley called the
Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:03 PM.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners Marley,
Rosman, DeMorret, and Kolden. Councilmember
Gallagher.
Absent: Commissioners Weston, Jonart
and Hanson.
Staff: Planner Flathman and
Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Chairman
Marley opened
for consideration approval of the February 19, 2020 Planning Commission
minutes. Motion: Approve the
February 19, 2020 Planning Commission minutes. Moved by Commissioner Rosman, Seconded
by Commissioner Kolden. Motion Carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Councilmember Gallagher discussed
recent City Council activity.
PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
Chairman Marley opened the
Public Hearing for Flood Hazard Code Amendments, file No. CA 20-01 and E20-02
at 7:06 PM. Planner Flathman gave a brief overview of the amendments. There were
Commissioner comments inquiring about the timeline for this amendment; is the
term facility the appropriate word or should it be structure as used in 15.28.160(D)(3)
and adding the term scouring to 15.28.315(C). 7:18 PM.
Motion: Recommend approval of the
Flood Hazard Code Amendments, file No. CA 20-01 and E20-02 and research the
verbiage to change the term facility to structure in 15.28.160(D)(3) and add
the term scouring to 15.28.315(C) if possible. Moved by Commissioner Rosman, Seconded
by Commissioner DeMorret. Motion Carried.

Commissioner Rosman. Motion Carried. Meeting adjourned at 7:20 PM.
