BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES

Chairman Pro-Tem DeMorett called the Brier
Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:01 PM.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Chair DeMorett, Commissioners Rosman, Hanson and Kolden.
Councilmember Gallagher (Not voting).
Absent: Commissioner Jonart.
Staff: Planner Flathman and
Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Chairman Pro-Tem DeMorett opened for consideration approval of the
August 19, 2020 Planning Commission minutes. Motion: Approve the August 19, 2020
Planning Commission minutes. Moved by
Commissioner Rosman, Seconded by
Commissioner Hanson. Motion Carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Councilmember Gallagher discussed
recent City Council activity.
PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
Chairman Pro-Tem DeMorett opened the public
hearing at 7:05 PM, for Conditional Use Permit No. CU20-01, to construct a
secondary dwelling unit within the existing residence at 3609 214 St SW.
Planner Flathman gave a brief overview of the application. Ed McClenny discussed his application and the intended use.
There was Commissioner discussion. The Public Hearing was closed at 7:09 PM. Motion: Recommend approval to City
Council, to construct a secondary dwelling unit within the existing residence
at 3609 214 St SW. Moved by
Commissioner Rosman, Seconded by
Commissioner Hanson. Motion Carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
Chairman Pro-Tem DeMorett opened discussion
for appointing a new Chair and Pro-Tem for the
remainder of 2020. Motion: Nominated
Commissioner DeMorett as Chair. Moved by Commissioner Hanson, Seconded
by Commissioner Rosman. Motion Carried.
Motion: Nominated Commissioner
Rosman as Chair Pro-Tem. Moved by Commissioner DeMorett, Seconded by Commissioner Hanson. Motion
Carried.
ADJOURNMENT:
Chair DeMorett adjourned the meeting at 7:17 PM.
