BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
January 20, 2021

Chair DeMorett
called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:01 PM.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners DeMorret, Hanson, Jonart, Rosman
and Tastad.
Absent: Commissioners Kolden,
Lenning and Councilmember Gallagher.
Staff: Planner Flathman
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Chair DeMorett opened for consideration approval of the November
18, 2020 Planning Commission minutes. Motion:
Approve the November 18, 2020 Planning Commission minutes, Moved by Commissioner Rosman, Seconded
by Commissioner Hanson. Motion Carried.
PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
Chair DeMorett
opened the Public Hearing at 7:04 PM, for amendments to the Comprehensive Plan
Capital Facilities Element. Planner Flathman reviewed the amendments to the
Capital Facilities Element.
Commissioner Hanson asked
what the timeline is for completing the Nugget Park sidewalk project.
The Public Hearing closed
at 7:09 PM.
Motion: To recommend approval to
City Council to amend the Comprehensive Plan Capital Facilities Element with
the updated cost identified by Planner Flathman, Moved by Commissioner Tastad, Seconded by Commissioner Hanson. Motion
Carried.
NEW BUSINESS:
A.
Chair DeMorett opened for consideration to appoint a Planning
Commission Chair and Pro-Tem for the year 2021. Motion:
Nominate Commissioner DeMorett as Chair, Moved by
Commissioner Hanson, Seconded by Commissioner Rosman. Motion Carried.
Motion: Nominate Commissioner Rosman as Pro-Tem, Moved by Commissioner Hanson, Seconded by
Commissioner Jonart. Motion Carried.
B.
Chair DeMorett opened for the annual Comprehensive Plan updates announcement.
City Planner Flathman explained the annual posting for the public to propose
amendments to the Comprehensive Plan.
ADJOURNMENT:
Motion: To adjourn, Moved by Commissioner Rosman, Seconded by Commissioner Hanson. Motion
Carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:18 PM.
