Chair DeMorett called the Brier Planning
Commission meeting to order at 7:09 PM.

Present: Commissioners
DeMorett, Hanson, Kolden, Lenning, Rosman, Tastad and Councilmember
Gallagher.
Absent: Commissioner Jonart.
Staff: Planner Flathman, Mayor Kaemingk and Clerk-Treasurer Swisher.
APPROVAL
OF MINUTES:
Chair DeMorett opened for consideration approval of the March 17,
2021 Planning Commission minutes. Motion:
To approve the March 17, 2021 Planning Commission minutes, Moved by Commissioner Rosman, Seconded
by Commissioner Kolden. Motion Carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Councilmember
Gallagher discussed recent City Council activity.
PUBLIC REQUESTS &
ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.
NEW BUSINESS:
A.
Chair DeMorett opened for
review the draft Code Amendment No. CA21-02 updates to the Zoning Division.
Planner Flathman gave an overview of the updates.
Commissioner
Rosman suggested using the International Building Code (IBC) as a reference
point for the building requirements and also using
verbiage from the IBC for definitions.
B.
Chair DeMorett opened for
City Clerk-Treasurer Swisher to begin Planning Commission training and the roll
of a Planning Commissioner.
Mayor Kaemingk thanked the Commissioners for their service.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:
Chair
DeMorett asked about Senate bill 5235 and House bill
1220 currently in review and how it would affect the City of Brier.
ADJOURNMENT:
Motion: To adjourn, Moved by Commissioner Rosman, Seconded by Commissioner Lenning. Motion Carried. The meeting adjourned at 8:04 PM.
