Chair DeMorett called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:00 PM.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Commissioners DeMorett, Hanson, Kolden, Lenning, Rosman, Tastad and Councilmember Gallagher.

Absent: Commissioner Jonart.

Staff: Planner Flathman.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chair DeMorett opened for consideration approval of the May 19, 2021 Planning Commission minutes. Motion: Approve the May 19, 2021 Planning Commission minutes, Moved by Commissioner Rosman, Seconded by Commissioner Kolden. Motion Carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Gallagher discussed recent City Council activity.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.

NEW BUSINESS:

Chair DeMorett opened for review the proposed code amendments No. CA21-04, Zoning Division II. Planner Flathman gave a review of the proposed changes.

Commissioner Kolden asked what the process is for getting approval of sign placement.

Commissioner DeMorett asked about directional signs like "Park out back".

Commissioner Hanson suggested adding language to Title 17.50.060A. add No. "10 Size at maturity".

Commissioner Rosman would like to see language added to 17.50.190 "fences shall not be constructed to limit visibility at intersections". He also asked to clarify at what age does vegetation become mature.
