BRIER PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES
March 16, 2022

Chair DeMorett called the
Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:06 PM.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners DeMorett, Lenning, Rosman, Tastad
and Councilmember Marley.
Absent: Commissioners Hanson and Campbell.
Staff: Planner Flathman.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Chair
DeMorett opened for consideration approval of the February 16, 2022 Planning Commission minutes. Motion: Approve the February 16, 2022
Planning Commission minutes, Moved by
Commissioner Rosman, Seconded by
Commissioner Tastad. Motion Carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Councilmember Marley discussed recent
City Council activity.
PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.
PUBLIC HEARINGS:
Chair DeMorett opened the
Public Hearing at 7:10 PM, for Conditional Use Permit No. CU22-01, to build a
Secondary Dwelling Unit, located at 22301 Hickory Way. Planner Flathman gave a review
of the application with a recommendation to approve.
Commissioner DeMorett asked
about sewer availability at this location.
The Public Hearing closed
at 7:21 PM.
Motion: To recommend approval to
City Council, for Conditional Use Permit No. CU22-01, to build a Secondary
Dwelling Unit, located at 22301 Hickory Way, Moved by Commissioner Rosman, Seconded
by Commissioner Lenning. Motion Carried.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:
Commissioner DeMorett recommended to
update the definition of “Secondary Dwelling Unit” in the Brier Municipal Code,
to be consistent with sections 17.04.040, 17.24.010C and the Comprehensive Plan.

Motion: To adjourn, Moved by Commissioner Lenning, Seconded by Commissioner Tastad. Motion
Carried. The meeting adjourned at 7:26 PM.
