Chair DeMorett called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:02 PM.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Commissioners DeMorett, Hanson, Rosman, Parsons and Councilmember Marley.

Absent: Commissioners Tastad, Lenning and Campbell.

Staff: Planner Flathman, Mayor Kaemingk, Clerk-Treasurer Swisher and City Attorney Reitan.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chair DeMorett opened for consideration approval of the April 20, 2022 Planning Commission minutes. Motion: Approve April 20, 2022 Planning Commission minutes, Moved by Commissioner Hanson, Seconded by Commissioner Parsons. Motion Carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Councilmember Marley discussed recent City Council activity.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.

NEW BUSINESS:

A.    Chair DeMorett opened the Planning Commission training review. Clerk-Treasurer Swisher began the training session.

B.    Chair DeMorett opened for review changes to Chapter 14.04, Stormwater Management and Regulations, file No. CA22-01, making housekeeping amendments and adding requirements from the Department of Ecology relating to source control and variances. Planner Flathman gave an overview of the proposed changes.

Commissioner Rosman suggested typographical corrections. He also suggested to change lines 831-832 to state, "that where the manual lacks specific guidance, it's up to the owner/operator to be responsible for design professional fees that demonstrate pollutant generating sources that do not cause harm."
