Chair DeMorett called the
Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:00 PM.
ROLL CALL:
Present: Commissioners
DeMorett, Hanson, Othman, Parsons, Rosman and Schneider.
Absent: Commissioner
Campbell.
Staff: Planner Michaelis.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES:
Chair
DeMorett opened for consideration approval of the October 18, 2023 Planning Commission minutes. Motion: Approve the October 18, 2023

Commissioner Parsons.

COMMITTEE REPORTS: None.
PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.
WORK SESSIONS/STUDY ITEMS:
A. Chair DeMorett opened for discussion the
introduction to the 2023 legislative housing and land use bills, E2SHB-1110 -
missing middle housing bill and EHB1337 - accessory dwelling unit bill. Planner
Michaelis gave an overview of each bill. There was Commissioner discussion.
B. Chair DeMorett opened for discussion the
introduction to the 2024 Growth Management Act periodic update. Planner
Michaelis explained the periodic schedule for updating the Comprehensive Plan.
There was Commissioner discussion.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:
Planner Michaelis gave an update of the
Phillips Ridge Plat on Old Poplar Way regarding the planting of street trees.
There was a traffic sight line study done, and it was not safe to install trees
in that location.
AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING:
Planning Commission Annual Report and
potentially two land use applications.
ADJOURNMENT:
Chair DeMorett declared the
meeting adjourned at 7:51 PM.
