Pro-Tem Chair Schneider called the Brier Planning Commission meeting to order at 7:01PM.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Commissioners DeMorett, Ficker, Krueger, Maykovich, and Schneider.

Absent: Commissioners Campbell and Hanson.

Staff: City Planner Michaelis

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

Chair Campbell opened for consideration approval of the May 20, 2026 Planning Commission minutes. Motion: Approve the May 20, 2026 Planning Commission minutes, Moved by Commissioner DeMorett, Seconded by Commissioner Krueger. Motion Carried.

STAFF UPDATES:

City Planner Michaelis updated the Commissioners on various city projects and thanked the residents for their patience with the road improvements being done on Vine Road.

PUBLIC REQUESTS & ORAL COMMUNICATIONS: None.

STUDY ITEMS:

Pro-Tem Chair Schneider opened for discussion on Assisted Living Facility Code Amendment (City File No. CA25-04) on proposed revisions since the public hearing of October 25, 2025. City Planner Michaelis gave an overview and summary of the revised Assisted Living Facility Code Amendment (City File No. CA25-04). There was discussion amongst the Commissioners. Planner Commissioners recommended to add "outdoor" to open space on section 9, letter c.

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS:

Commissioner Krueger asked City Planner Michaelis if there had been a Middle Housing update. There was Commission discussion.

AGENDA FOR NEXT MEETING (August 19, 2026):

City Planner Michaelis does not have anything for the next agenda at this moment.
