The Clerk-Treasurer records the proceedings and generates official minutes of all City Council meetings as well as prepares the agenda packets, maintains all official records, and provides for inspection and copying of public records subject to disclosure.
The Clerk-Treasurer prepares legal notices for the city, attests to official acts of the Mayor, keeps the Council fully advised of the financial condition of the city, assists in the preparation of a proposed budget for the fiscal year, and is responsible for administering the budget once it is adopted.
This office is responsible for maintaining all payroll records, issuing business licenses and permits, as well as managing the utility billing system and staffing the front reception desk.
The Clerk-Treasurer serves as the designated agent for receiving claims against the City, maintaining the city code and monitors the information systems (telephones, postage, computers, printers, fax and copier).
The City Clerk's office has been designated as an agent of the Department of State for the purpose of accepting applications for passports.

Darrel Johnson – Prosecutor
The City Attorney’s Office provides legal support to the Mayor and City Council, boards and commissions, City administration and departments. In addition, the Office reviews ordinances (laws) and resolutions for Council consideration. The prosecutor prosecutes local ordinance violations: and represents the City ‘s interest in all legal actions.
