County places load limit on Locust Way bridge
Swamp Creek Bridge #504 is on Locust Way just south of 231st Street SW in south Snohomish County. The county has placed a load limit on the bridge that will affect trucks that weigh more than 20 tons.
The limit is now 20 tons for AASHTO 1 type trucks that are normally allowed 25 tons. The limit is now 32 tons for AASHTO 2 type trucks that are normally allowed 36 tons
The weight limit will remain in effect until after Snohomish County’s bridge crew completes repairs later this summer. Repair work is likely to occur in August 2010, but the date has not yet been determined.
